About Us
Dr. Vivek Koncherry, CEO of Graphene Space Habitat Ltd (GSH), United Kingdom is developing an Advanced Materials and Advanced Manufacturing process for a new type of modular space station that will use graphene composites as a structural material. Seen here in low Earth orbit, the capsules can be configured for living quarters.
Past work on a scaled model of an entire space habitat structure was awarded first prize at the prestigious Eli and Britt Harari Graphene Enterprise competition 2021 and CogX First Prize. The model of the space habitat was exhibited at the Advanced Engineering Show 2021 and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2022.
GSHs research into space habitat development for extreme environments puts GSH’s advanced manufacturing and materials technology to the test in the rigors of space, the results of which create proofs for new-to-the-world applications on Earth.
GSH is collaborating with renowned architectural Daniel Inocente and team from, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) to develop the next-generation space habitat.
GSH team is based in the world leading Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre at The University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
